we're coming home!

the season is over...wyatt's team made playoffs, but lost in the first round to berlin. so, no more blogging for me! if we end up back in germany next season, which is the plan right now, i will re-start then. we are very anxious to get home and spend some time with family and friends :)

playoffs

wyatt's team made playoffs! they made the top 6! so, no play-in round for them. we are in the middle of 10 days of no games right now while teams 7-10 are playing to determine who will get spots 7 and 8 for playoffs. the last regular season game was in munich, so the girls and i obviously weren't able to be there, but they won and clinched a playoff spot. so, the team returned and went to the panther sports bar, which is connected to the rink to celebrate with fans. ruby, calla + i met wyatt at the bar to celebrate. the photographer that was at the party loved that i was multi-tasking. a baby in a bjorn + a beer! ruby was a little intimidated at first, but then she was back to her old self, running around the crowded bar saying, "yay! hockey! daddy!" it was a fun night!

surprise!!!

i'm so excited!! my mom is coming to visit!! she gets here on wednesday and will be here until sunday. short trip, but we can't wait! she will get to see a playoff game, too! ruby is SO excited to see her. everyday, we cross off a number on our countdown until grammy gets here :)

it has been 6 LONG weeks without seeing my mom. that's the longest we have ever gone. and i have realized now that kids are involved, that's why being away is so hard. i know my mom is excited to see wyatt and me, but it most likely doesn't compare to her excitement to see ruby + calla :)

erc vs. straubing game!

last night was wyatt's second to last game of the regular season. it was a very important game for them, as if they won last night and win tomorrow in munich, they will be in the top 6 for playoffs! {which means, they will not need to participate in the "play-in" in order to make the top 8 for playoffs} the game was scoreless for 3 full periods. sounds boring, but it was the most exciting hockey game i have been to in a long time! with 10 seconds left in regulation time, the other team got a penalty-so we got almost 2 full minutes of power play in overtime! at 1 minute 30 seconds into overtime, here are some pictures that show what happened...

our day in munich

we spent the day in munich and had so much fun! we went to the zoo and then ate dinner at the hard rock cafe. ruby ate a hot dog and it was a normal american hot dog. she said num num after every bite. calla slept the entire time we were at the zoo. something about the chilly weather and being bundled up in her stroller makes her sleep so well! here are a few zoo pictures:
